Check out Hour of the Star from library. 
The idea of fiction is that it’s a continuous dream. 
The narrator is really strange and stilted. Hard to listen to. 
Oh my god it smells so bad in here.

Doesn’t explain itself to you. 
Sensory closeness, not just detail, but closeness. 
               How can you bring sensory detail close to a reader’s ear? 
Everyone else has a better take than I did, 
which is alright I guess, because I’ve only seen like 
20 minutes of this movie—why 
am I expecting praise for my bullshit? 
Make it highly, highly, HIGHLY fictionalized.

Identity can only be explored fully 
in an environment where 
your base needs are met. 
               Explored? Discovered? Flourish? 
How will I be with students 
if I get so frustrated?
